The 3rd Annual Wellness in Me Conference: See. Support. Connect. is a powerful wellness experience designed to advance mental health awareness, strengthen supportive skills, and foster collective healing among women.

Rooted in the See. Support. Connect. (SSC) Model, the conference offers interactive sessions, practical tools, and open dialogue to help participants recognize mental health needs, respond with compassion, and build healthier, more connected communities. Through expert speakers, community conversation, and experiential engagement, women are empowered to show up for themselves and one another with greater clarity and care.

The conference creates a unified experience that blends education, wellness, and sisterhood. It also serves as a connection point for organizations, companies, churches, and community groups interested in partnering with HER Cause, Inc. to host the See. Support. Connect. Training Program, expanding access to mental wellness education in the spaces where women live, work, and gather.

A Sisterhood Response to Wellness.

Keynote Speaker

Dr. Tyreese McAllister

Dr. McAllister is a powerhouse in the mental health field, bringing over 25 years of clinical expertise to the Washington, D.C.-Baltimore region and beyond. As a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC) and a Diplomate of the American Board of School Neuropsychology, she bridges the gap between complex neurological insights and compassionate, community-focused care.

Beyond the clinic, Dr. McAllister is a compelling speaker and author who specializes in transforming pain into purpose. She has been featured across major media outlets for her insights on the intersection of mental health and social justice. Whether she is addressing a room of educators or a national conference of first responders, her message remains clear: healing is a collaborative, intentional journey.

Dr. Keisha Mack

Awareness & Understanding

Join Dr. Mack for an essential exploration of the unique mental health landscape for Black women and women of color. This session moves beyond surface-level talk to address the specific conditions and stressors that disproportionately affect these communities, providing a clear guide to recognizing early warning signs and symptoms. Dr. Mack will challenge the persistent stigmas and misperceptions that often act as barriers to care, offering instead a transformative framework rooted in the power of "seeing" ourselves and one another with radical clarity and compassion.

Shoareged Phillpots

Community & Sisterhood

Shoareged will explore how women can create  and sustain safe sister circles, how to initiate meaningful mental health conversations, and how connection itself becomes a tool for healing. She will highlight the importance of belonging, shared narratives, and culturally aligned practices that honor the lived experiences of Black  women and women of color.

Her focus will also include the role of creativity and expression—movement, poetry, art, and  storytelling—as pathways to connection. By helping women understand how communal practices strengthen resilience, Shoareged will show how connection is not simply emotional—it  is protective, restorative, and essential for wellness.

Discussion Panel

Building Support Systems That

Strengthen Women’s Mental Wellness

From Awareness to Action:

This panel brings together mental health professionals, community leaders, and advocates to explore how Black women and women of color can build and sustain meaningful support systems that promote emotional wellness. Through honest conversation and  shared expertise, panelists will discuss how we recognize mental health needs in our  communities, how we respond with compassion and cultural awareness, and how we create  networks of care that strengthen sisterhood.

This dialogue will highlight practical strategies, lived experiences, and community‑centered approaches that move us from simply seeing the need to actively supporting and connecting with one another. Attendees will walk away with tools, insights, and encouragement to build stronger circles of wellness in their homes, workplaces, and communities.
